| - It's tough, but I'll be fair.
The place is not going be all that good. I would not recommended at all if you were looking for a hotel that requires luxury. Everybody is always looking to get the most bang out of their hard earned bucks. So expecting it would not be out of the question.
Hate to thell them, this place is not it.
I have a feeling that this place get picked by many people out there was that every travelocity, expedia, and Vegas.net will always show this hotel as one of the cheapest option out there. That should be the only reason you would want to come here was that it's the cheapest hotel on the strip.
There are major benefits to this hotel. It's so close to where you can walk to other major hotel/casinos on the strip. It's a short stumbling block from MGM where you can take the metro rail to other major stations on the strip. The cross section of Vegas Blvd is Tropicana Road where all the other major tourists attractions off the strip will be located at.
The best news? It's close to the other two major highways and a short distance from the big road leading to the airport. It seemed convenience in distance wins out.
The real bad part of staying here was the smelly room. I left a sweater in the room for three days. When I took home, I can smell the cigarettes in the room. Next time, I will be in the smoke free room instead if I knew the smell there is that strong. The cleanliness is OK, but it's not as dirty or run down as I thought. The room is comparable to the Hilton or New York New York, but half the price..so a winner there.
The hotel does had a couple of major attractions like the exhibit, Bodies (don't do it) and Titanic exhibits. They also have an all-you-can-eat buffet that is very popular here with a long line. Plenty of gift shops and other little restaurants here makes it worth while.
I did mentioned about a few bars and lounge on my other reviews. Not really worth bragging about on those. Even the casino is meh at best. Going there to play poker against down to earth folks instead of high roller wannabes in Mirage was better suited for me.
Overall, it's not bad of a place to stay and prices will be reasonable against the other hotels on the strip. Considering that Motel 6 was more expensive, what does that tell you about the wacky cost of staying overnight at Vegas?...you have to take chances!
