Let's start with all the positives at Kitchen 56. Extremely friendly staff at this restaurant. Love the service behind the bar very attentive towards customers. Great looking space with nice decor and atmosphere! Right off 56th St & Indian School this is a prime Arcadia location. This part I hate having to talk about. The negatives of Kitchen 56, starting with the very limited dinner menu. Not a lot of options on the menu. I decided to keep it easy and try two of the choices available. The burger and pulled pork sandwich. Picking two of the less expensive items as a way to gauge this place. See If I would trust them with one of their more advanced dishes. The trust is just not there folks. The burger which was order medium well came out over well done and dry. No flavor, just the presence of a slightly burnt bun with cheese. Would not be fair to even consider this as an entry in any best burger competition. On to the pulled pork, this came out cold to taste. Literally the meat was cold on the bun which tells me it has been refrigerated. Even though I overheard one of the servers telling another guest they are a fresh kitchen. Nothing is prepared in advance all fresh. Bottom line is you'd be better off going to In & Out Burger or Dicky's BBQ. To be fair the French fries were delicious on both orders. I do appreciate how nice everyone was here though!
