The atmosphere is probably the best part. The staff greets everyone that enters and is always boisterous. Anyone complaining about the noise or portions clearly doesn't know what an Izakaya is (or what it's supposed to be like). The food comes in "snack sized" portions and is superb. There are many interesting dishes that you will have lots of fun trying. My favourite is the fried brie cheese. However, keep in mind that atmosphere is cramped (but I can accept that as part of the experience of eating at an Izakaya) and not conducive to serious mealtime conversation.
