  • We just transferred our Black Card membership to this location. Planet Fitness has many very enjoyable gyms throughout the Valley of the Sun. This one at Scottsdale Ranch is brand new. Still has that "new equipment smell". While it's to be expected at a new facility, the equipment is all is exceptional working order, and there's a LOT of it! All Planet Fitness locations seem to be very good at this - keeping the facilities clean and in great working order. The staff and trainers that work here are all enthusiastic, helpful and knowledgeable. As a model, PF has everything you could want in a fitness facility. Of course almost any piece of equipment you could imagine - and it's all new-generation stuff. Some might miss heavy barbell sets, but the Smith machines available here come pretty close to that kind of workout. Extensive choice of very light to very heavy dumbbells. At this point, group fitness classes are oriented around the use of equipment or body weight resistance exercises. While it's not typical of the Planet Fitness model, I think this site could attract additional members with group aerobic or yoga classes...who knows? Membership cost is VERY reasonable. The Black Card membership is a great choice - unlimited "bring-a-guest-privileges", national reciprocity at other PF clubs, and the use of massage, tanning and other premium features. Trainers also provide Black Card members with services without additional cost.
