| - This place has been in Scarborough for a long time, but I finally visited for the first time through Passport to Prana.
I took a class with Alx, who is actually the son of another instructor, Vicky. The room was small, with wooden floors, and was a perfect fit for 12 people; there was an amazing ambience (the air conditioning helped too). As everyone is getting ready for class, you check a board in the backroom to see if you need any props. You're welcome to grab blocks, straps, bolsters; everything here seems very clean and the equipment is in great condition.
Alx led the class very well and helped give me tips for adjustments. Considering I've had bad experiences in being adjusted, I was really comfortable with him. Lots of hip openers. Had a fantastic first class here and was super relaxed by the time I got to svasasana.
This is definitely a tight-knit community. Everyone seemed very friendly and a lot of people knew each other. Since it was obvious that I was new, a few people greeted me; it was really nice! You don't get that happening downtown Toronto! Everything here is clean, relaxed and organized.
If I still lived in Toronto, I'd like to sign up for more classes. I considered getting a 5-class pass ($79) for the brevity of my stay in Ontario, but noticed that it was only for a 3-month period. I asked Shannon, the clerk at the front desk, and she said that they would be willing to stretch out the period a bit longer.
PARKING: Street parking or big lot across the street.
