| - After a stay last year at the Sheraton Gateway (which is actually attached to the airport), we decided to see what else was out there for our most recent trip. When you're coming back from an all inclusive in Jamaica, your hopes for an airport hotel aren't high. Thankfully though, the Alt well-exceeded our expectations!
It's hip, it's chic, and as others have said "clean and modern" too. It's a short walk from the shuttle/sky train station (I don't think I'd want to try this on a snowy day with a heavy luggage cart, but hey, it was April) and the room was beautiful.
As an "airport hotel" they maximized space by leaving out the dressers - however should you wish to unpack there are drawers in the captains beds. No dressers also meant there was plenty of room for a luggage cart (and, unlike the Sheraton) we were informed that we were free to wheel it into our room! *If you haven't figured it out yet, we don't travel lightly, and space for a luggage cart was a welcome relief at 1:30 in the morning!
There's not much of a view out the windows, but the beds were comfy, the wake-up call came on time, and we were able to enjoy a few hours of shut eye and a refreshing shower before our flight.
When we're back at YYZ over night, we'll certainly stay here again!
