| - This place is the real deal. You'd think with all the themes (Indiana Jones, Egyptian, Blues Brothers, Rocky Horror- just to name a few), it would be tacky or low-quality. Instead, it's a perfect blend of campy fun for the stuff that should be campy fun- and attention to detail/quality where it counts. Genius.
We went with the Pink Cadillac Elvis ceremony (the car entrance was a surprise for our guests) and everything about the event custom fit our personalities and relationship: dramatic entrance, great live singing, a touch of fog -- with heartfelt vows, romantic slowdance to "Can't Help Falling in Love" and spirited group dancing to "Viva Las Vegas."
They do multiple weddings a day but we never felt it. The staff treated our wedding as the main event and us as valued customers.
There were some bumps in the road but not many (and they are minor).
#1 : If you plan to have your wedding photos printed while you're on site, it will take awhile, so be prepared to wait (they are totally worth it- Kalin is an amazing photographer).
#2: When they posted our archived wedding video online, they got the spelling of his last name wrong (added an "r"). When we called to ask it be changed (for the second time), whoever picked up the phone said., "Well, when that happens, we usually leave it like that and you can tell your guests which file is yours." (Oh, so this happens all the time? Hrrmmm...) We insisted on the change and, after the second call, the name was corrected. I still give five stars because everything else was so divine.
Elvis (the owner) was a stitch- he delivered our ceremony with class, style and infectious personality. He graciously helped me out of the caddy, flawlessly sang and administered the vows, and then directed us for some knockout photos. Could not have been more professional. Wow, you have truly found your calling.
I'd also like to add that we switched our ceremony from the Little White Wedding Chapel to Viva Las Vegas. We preferred VLV's reputation for welcoming same-sex couples and celebrating all relationships. We wanted nothing less for ourselves and our guests. For our wedding, our group felt comfortable, affirmed and accepted. Once we switched, we found we had even more choices at VLV, better customer service. VLV turned out to be a better fit for us in even more ways than we imagined. We were happy to spend our money here and we would do it again without hesitation.
Thank you, Viva, for being professional, hysterical... unforgettable!
