| - I'll start off with the good because there is a reason I moved into this complex. First, the dog park is great in terms of space. Second, the maintenance guys are friendly and happy to help. The business center and gym are well maintained. It's a cute idea to have dog treats in the leasing office.
Now, for the unfortunate parts. While the dog park is nice, owners don't do a great job at picking up after their pets. I've had to pick up after other people's dogs so that my dog can walk through the park. The dog water fountain is broken,so there's now there's a huge puddle and bugs. The park has lights but they don't work.
I've had to call security on multiple occasions. My neighbor was hoarding dogs. Her herd of dogs make a lot of noise through out the evening and middle of the night. The dogs chase each other, bark etc. My neighbor yells at them and makes a lot of thumping and banging noises. I've reported my neighbor to both security and the office. I've asked that they give her a courtesy call because I've been told that that's all they can do. I've never had an issue with any neighbor in the past. It's incredibly bothersome because the noise starts at 3:30am every day. The office staff seems bothered by my complaints rather than interested in making my living situation more tolerable. One of the office employees informed me that there's nothing they can do about noise because this is "apartment living". There's nothing like having a bad neighbor.
Recently, I stumbled upon a couple having sex in one of the pools. Classy.
Today, I found empty shell casings near a garage which presents a safety concern.
I pay $50 a month for a garage and in a 3 week span the remote control stopped working about 4 times.
A neighbor informed me that her apartment had been broken into when she first moved in, so that doesn't make me feel safe. Like a previous reviewer posted, I'd like for the gates to be closed. Perhaps the office staff can take another poll since their justification for having the gates open all day and night is that the residents like the gates open. I'm not sure what they based their decision on, but given recent events (i.e., a stabbing and homicide) it might be time to rethink leaving the gates open at all times.
Pet owners fail to leash their dogs. A dog was recently run over because of it. There's a rule that the complex does not allow dogs under the age of 1, but I've already seen two in the past month. I don't have an issue with young pets but several residents hoard dogs or bring in pets without adding them to the lease.
The apartments look nice on the outside, but there are a lot of unstable trashy people living inside.
This place has a lot of potential, but there are a lot of issues that need to be addressed by the office staff.
