  • The only reason why i am giving a two star is because when I had a c-section i had an amazing experience with my nurses but when my new born was diagnosed with jaundice she was transferred to the PICU and had a horrible experience with two nurses. One of the nurses did not put the safety googles on my baby when she turned on the lights to the bed for jaundice babies. After that she pulled up her head from the bed when she got distracted and dropped my baby in the hard bed and she hit her head in the glass that is on the bed. I was so confused angry and disappointed..too many negative emotions. My blood pressure when up to 185/90. The nurses convinced me to go to my room so my BP could stabilize and it did go down to 165/80 so i went to see my baby again. When i came into the room i was chocked! My baby was rolled down the bed with her little hand hanging from the bed. If it wasn't for a small glass down the lower part of the bed my baby would have fallen to the ground and no one would have notice. I turned the call light on and about 15 minutes later someone finally showed up! No one ever asked us if we wanted to file a insistent report. 9 months have passed by and i still cant believe that it happened. The nurses kept saying that it never happens. It happened to my! 2times on the same day!! Her pediatrician came in and checked her head and monitored her for about 10 minutes and said she was fine. I wouldn't bring my baby back to the hospital. Yes the director came to apologize and she said again that they have NEVER had this incident before! Well i didn't think so! That happened to me 2 times and i will never forget it for the rest of my life. but it was a really bad experience and i wouldn't deliver at that hospital again. ---So for those of you who will be delivering babies here in the future make sure you know who your nurse is and the baby's nurse is. If you have concerns about how your newborn is being treated speak out!
