We were in town this past weekend and had to stop by Barrio Cafe. We originally heard of this place through Diners, Drive-Ins' and Dives and we absolutely loved it. Hands Down to Chef Silvana and team!
It's not your typical Mexican joint and it's not your typical priced taco dish either. You definitely pay for what you get. If you're looking for quantity, you'll be disappointed.
At BC you'll be paying for creativity and quality. We totally dig it!
We all chose different choice of meat tacos and I tell you, all five of us were super content. (My steak tacos were perfectly cooked and tender). I don't like olives but as an appetizer they serve sourdough bread with an olive spread. My party thought it was delicious.
Not to mention the ambiance....super hip. They had a man playing solo on his guitar Gypsy Kings type music. That was super cool. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
P.S. Don't forget to read the history of the Cafe and Chef herself. Pretty cool.
