We had a great time at the Priory Hotel. When we first arrived, we were caught off-guard by the location and discrete location of the hotel, and not in a good way. The neighborhood is a little too far from downtown for it to feel like you're staying downtown, and I recommend taking cabs from the hotel. With that said, we still walked around from downtown and from PNC Park at night and we were fine and safe.
The hotel has a very unique and lovely charm, and the entire staff was very warm and friendly. The room feels more like an apartment and it was a lot of fun. The free continental breakfast was a true delight with their pastries coming from their own bakery a block over. They have a lovely courtyard and the guests are friendly also.
Our favorite part of our stay was the bar located inside the hotel. The bartender was incredibly friendly and talked to us about our stay and things to do in the area and we also met another couple staying at the hotel who we had great conversation with.
We would probably stay here again if we visit Pittsburgh, as it was very pleasant and one of the cheapest in the area for the quality.
