I was in on the weekend as they have a grand opening special on services. Living downtown Toronto is fairly pricey so I'll take any discounts I can get. Lol anyways, went to get a regular manicure. It was average service and average quality. I guess you get what you pay for and what I paid was $12 bucks. So I got a mediocre mani. The cuticle work wasn't thorough and polish wasn't good or bad. Just meh.
I will give it to them that they are new and clean. To be expected from a salon that has just opened. Water and coffee is a nice touch. I may return some day if I needed my mani and pedi done in an emergency situation, ie last minute date with a guy I just met on tinder and a free meal. Lol
They also advertise that they were organic on the cityplace fb page. But I didn't see anything that was organic. I question what they are using on us as customers. I tried to ask but the girl just shrugged.
Tl;dr meh, nothing to write home about.
P.s. Just noticed the other reviews, the owner just gave herself 5 stars. One wonders if she got her friends to give her 5 stars too? A bit tacky if you ask me. I'm all for supporting local businesses, why not let your work speak for itself and have real customers give you feedback.
