| - I used Eagle Locksmith to cut a new car key for me (lost my original). The Auto Dealership quoted me $225.00. I opted to find a deal online where I discovered you can purchase "blanks" based on your year/make/model for about $40.00! Score...I thought.
The key arrived as a "blank", instructing me to find a local locksmith to cut it specific to my vehicle. With that, I called Eagle Locksmith to do the work. The gentleman I first spoke with from Eagle was polite, offered same-day service, and arrived at my home on time. Within 20 minutes of meeting him, he handed me a freshly cut key that worked like a charm. Unfortunately, he also handed me an invoice for $175. I have no idea how competitive this is, however given the fact it took 20 minutes, tops, I felt it a tad high. Perhaps this is just "what it cost", however if I could do it again, I may check one or two places and get competitive quotes. Anyway, cost aside, I'd highly recommend them based on fast, reliable and competent work. Bottom-line, I saved $10.00 based on what the Auto Dealership originally quoted. Live and learn.
