| - Ok folks, first off this is a pawn shop. If your looking to get top dollar for items you want to get rid of, then dont go to this or any pawn shop. You will not get 'top dollar' for items you sell to a pawn shop.
You do get to avoid having to advertise/list items, deal with prospective buyers and etc. And that is time consuming and lets face it, time is money.
However, if your looking for a quik sale and walk out with cash with minimal hassles, then I rec checking these folks out.
They aren't a 'chain'. They are a family run business and Mike, his son and couple other who work there are terrific people. Nice honest etc....
Mike won't BS you. If its something not worth his time or not something the clientele that visit his establishment are interested in buying, he wont waste your time and beat around the bush trying to get it cheaper. He will be blunt and honest and simply say its not something he wants.
When it comes to stuff he does want/may want, again, he'll be perfectly honest with you. He will even go so far as to say 'you could sell this for more if you listed it on ebay or etc...'
Honesty is tough to find in any pawn shop, but you will find it here. I know very well the items I sold were worth more. He even told me so (although I already knew that). But I really did not want to waste time.
I got a fair price I was happy with, no playing games, lowballing etc....
He runs a business. He isnt running it for charity. He does it to make a profit and earn a living.
In any event, I left happy, they were happy, so all good. Very nice people. Honest, straightforward, no playing games.
My kind of people.
So, if your looking to sell check them out. While I wasn't buying anything this visit, I did take a look around and his prices on most items I looked at were very good. I checked out some guns that were half the price of guns of the same or very similar ones ive seen at other shops. Some very nice jewelry, that once again was priced very well. Tools, equipment, guitars, bikes, all priced very reasonably.
Even a very nice Motorcycle (Yamaha, but like many manufactures, they all want models that aside from the name, look like a Harley). Priced at $2k, very good shape. In fact, it looked to be in excellent shape. Tons of chrome, beautiful in every detail. If you had told me it was brand new with 0 miles, I would have believed it. I didnt drive it, nor hear it run, but he said it ran great, and this is not a guy that is going to b.s. you.
They don't have the largest selection of items, but thats a good thing. They have a good selection of different categories. Not so much so that if you want a nice smith and wesson or a glock, you'll find one easily, at a good price without having to look at wall to wall racks and cases that would take 3 days just to look at and then you end up looking at 30 smith and wesson's or 30 glocks all similar but with vastly different pricing trying to figure out what to buy.
Whether its guns, jewelry etc, you'll be dealing with very honest people that can tell you 'the story/history' on each and every item they sell......,
Great people....Check them out..... Yes, they are a pawn shop, but not your typical one, whether your buying or selling.
