I previously wrote a negative review about a year ago and decided not to come back.
I dropped my iPhone 6 plus and Shattered the screen. The LCD was not damaged, just the screen. I called a couple of iphone repair places in the area and could not find one who would touch the phone. Grudgingly I decided to give these folks a second chance.
I stopped in the store to see if they fix the screen. I quickly learned I needed to have an appointment to see a "genius" to turn in the phone. The next appointment time was less than an hour away so I decided to wait. They got my contact information and I waited in the store.
They were able to see me 15 minutes earlier than the appointment. The "genius" was curious but took a little bit to get them to understand the only thing I needed done was a screen replacement. After disabling all the safety features including all passwords including find my phone, they took the phone and gave me a time later that day it would be ready. I didn't want to wait that long there and asked if it would be okay to pick the phone up the next day. They said that would be fine.
The next day came around and the true nature of the Apple Store employees came out.
Was greeted by the Apple Store person who asked what I was there for. I told them I was there to pick up the phone. They huffed and asked me to go sit by the iMacs on the wall. Problem was, there wasn't anywhere to sit. I just stood there waiting for a seat to open up. Finally when one did I got to have a seat and wait some more for them to open up.
Finally a "genius" came out and called my name. They asked for an picture ID. I showed them my drivers license. Since I don't have an Arizona license because I don't live in Arizona they had trouble locating my name that is pretty much in bold. After pointing out my name on the license he just threw my license back at me onto the counter. He asked for the payment. I have him my card and payed. He swiped it and throws it back at me on the counter. I thought it was a little rude that I would hand him what he asked for and he just would fling it back at me.
I asked for a receipt. He stated he could not print one. I said to email it to me. He asked which email address. I told him to use the one he had on file. He didn't see one. I was kind enough to point it out to him on the service ticket on the phone packaging.
He takes the phone out of the packaging and throws it across the counter at me and tells me to have a nice day.
I was less than thrilled about the service I received and was thinking less than rationally. At this point I decided it was time to go.
Outside the store I was able to enable the pass codes but could not find the find my phone to turn it back on. I really didn't want to go back in and wait an hour for an appointment for them to fix as something they should have done earlier. After calling apple support to was able to enable the feature.
I doubt that I will be a return customer.
