I just moved from brooklyn late last year and had a serious craving for curry.Well first it was fried chicken but we decided some yummy caribbean food would work as well. When we arrived the place was so empty no one greeted us.We yelled out a few times and finally someone came out that look like we bothered him.I really wanted west indian cuisine or I would have happily went downstairs to the more inviting korean spot!Anyway we ordered some rather tasty mango wings which we demolished. Then on to curry chicken and a grilled chicken. Both came with rice and peas ,really good plantains, and sweet potatoe. The food was good..mind blowing no but it was solid and hit the spot.I have very high expectations coming from brooklyn so u have to really blow my mind.So far the only mind blowing with caribbean food has been my kitchen in Montreal.Anyway the service was blah until the waitress showed up.My date complained about the customer service asking if she should tip him since he doesnt care to much.lol.I may try Boom J then come back for at least those banging mango wings and plantains.
