  • I was looking for a burger joint out in Charlotte, and came across The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar. This restaurant caught my attention since I saw my two favorite words: sushi and burger. Sushi and burgers are my two favorite types of food, so I decided I had to check out this place. I came for lunch and the place wasn't too packed. Decided to ask the bartender what to order since I didn't know what was good. He recommended the "What's Shakin' Tuna Bacon Sandwich" so I went ahead and ordered that. One thing I noticed immediately was that they had a great selection of beer. I told the bartender I was visiting from California, and he told me to try one of the local brews that they had. I have to say combine sushi and burger was an odd combination, but my sandwich was delicious! The sandwich had seared ahi tuna, applewood bacon, jalapenos, and it was served with spring roll wrapper filled with sushi ice. My sandwich also came with a side of sweet potato fries which was cooked to perfection! The local brew the bartender recommended was also very refreshing! (Forgot the name) If I ever go back to Charlotte, I would definitely check this place out! It has an extended menu compared to a regular burger joint. If you do not like sushi, they have salads, burgers, sandwiches, and rolls. The bartender that was serving me was ecstatic to help me out when I was troubled by the menu. He gave me a great recommendation on the beer and my sandwich. The place seems relaxed and chilled. Besides the food, many people were there for drinks! (Happy hour) Besides beer, they also have wine, mixed drinks, and sake, which is rare at a burger restaurant. Finally, this place is not overpriced as you expected. If you are in the area, you absolutely have to check this place out!!
