They wanted far more information then I was willing to give to get an x-Ray. I went in as a new patient so I figured I'd have some paper work to fill out but Steinberg Diagnostics paper work is insane! They wanted to know my social and the social of the persons who the primary insurance holders social, place of work, what language I spoke, what race I was etc..... The list and questions were way to many especially for someone who's just getting an x-ray that was requested by a primary care doctor. I went to the front desk to tell them I was uncomfortable answering all these questions. She said it's their stand forms and as a first time patient I neede to fill them out. I said I was not going give this information for an x-ray and asked for my perception back. I also asked if they could recommend a place that didn't make you divulge all your personal info to get a doctor ordered x-ray. They said they didn't know of one and that I would have to fill out the same paper work anywhere I went.
Fast forward one phone call to my primary care doctors office were I asked if there was an alternative to Steinberg that I could go that would take my insurance. They recommend Desert Radiology. I called and asked what information they required and was happy to find out that they had a very simple 2 page form. Desert Radiology were awesome! Not only did I have half the paper work to fill out but they also and only asked question pertaining to my x-rays. Bravo! Desert Radiology!
