  • This is a beautiful old hotel in downtown Pittsburgh. If you go there you need to speak with the bell hop Daryl Cann. He can give you the hotels history, tell you about the architecture, and help you find whatever you need. If you look up customer service in the dictionary there should be a picture of Daryl I was there today with a couple of friends looking at some old pictures on the wall and Daryl gave us a full history and architecture lesson and it was very interesting. He also gave us a comprehensive list of the many celebrities who have been guests there. It was truly impressive. They should make him the hotel historian Ask Daryl to show you the Lawrence Welk bubble machine. A really cool piece of Pittsburgh history
