I've always wanted to see Penn&Teller, and decided to finally go for it. We found a 2for1 discount code in the airline magazine on the plane, so that saved about $100. Don't bother with the cheap seats (mezzanine or balcony), as they're too far away to really appreciate what's going on, on stage. Just look for a 2for1 coupon and be in the front area.
I don't know what these people are talking about when they say Penn talks too much or is too political. That's not the case at all. It was 95% magic, 5% politically related magic. I mean I guess if you hate the US constitution, you may not appreciate parts of the show, but otherwise.. their "views" (libertarian) aren't exactly extreme.
And the fact they both stick around in the hallway until the very last fan is done getting photos with them, is pretty amazing. Not all acts do this, and it's great.
Oh but drink up before you get to the theater... they charge an insane amount for drinks at the theater bar.
