It's finally open! Great location near the Harris Teeter off Colony. I think the location is what gives it 4 stars.
I was thrown by the check-out process. Just stack your pile on the scanner and it reads everything at once. Nice touch but felt like a fool when a librarian had to help me, the middle-aged fool from the card catalog era. They are helpful in the main check-out area but you can tell they repeat the directions even in their sleep.
The kids area is ALWAYS full of wandering toddlers & pre-schoolers (noisy) and chatting moms so be prepared to navigate littles if you have school-age children. My kid's eyes dilate, shut their mouths, nab their books and bolt for the door. Ironically, not a great kids place to actually read your books. The area is smaller than other library locations but nice, albeit small, selection of chapter books.
Adult selection is usual but never packed with people. Yay! I can wander the narrow aisles without running into someone standing in the EXACT spot your book is located.
Parking can be tough, I would advise taking a spot near the entrance if you can get one. If you go on a school day off, be there when it opens.
I do love the usual drive up book drop.
