  • I'm primarily interested in ribs when I visit a BBQ spot and usually do not visit a place if I don't see smoke and can't smell BBQ from about a block away. There is a big pit on the side of the building but I got close to it and it wasn't hot, not even warm so it was obvious that it had not been used that day. I have also noticed that "BBQ" places that serve things like nachos, seafood and meatloaf usually have bad BBQ. I saw excellent reviews here so I decided to give this place a shot. I ordered the two meat duo with spare ribs and links. Took forever, about 25 minutes, they should be able to get food out faster, especially if the food is not cooked to order. The ribs were OK, very little flavor, rather bland, the links tasted like spicy hot dogs. I also don't understand the green onions. I've never, ever seen that on BBQ but as I looked around they were on everything. I'm still on my quest to find decent BBQ west of Texas, doesn't look like it's gonna happen. I've had BBQ at a gas station in Texas that is better than anything I've found in Cali or Nevada.
