Note: I did not have one of the homemade Pop-Tarts everyone is raving about; had I indulged perhaps my experience would have been different.
Not Just Coffee Packard Place is definitively minimalistic--the neutral color scheme and mostly bare walls pushes the theme to the brink of appearing unfinished. The zen-like atmosphere is calming, however, a nice relaxing alcove from the hustle and bustle of City Center.
My partner and I both ordered lattes with their "vanilla sugar" flavoring, mine made with almond milk. I was impressed by the rich foam and latte art the barista coaxed out.
The latte was a REAL latte, which can be good or bad thing depending on who is drinking it. If you are a Mickey D's latte fan, NJC's lattes MAY be too strong for you. NJC uses real espresso, you can see the grounds mixed into the foam. There's a powerful coffee flavor which may be too much for your run-of-the-mill flavored coffee drinker.
For the coffee connoisseur, I think NJC would be a true gem. For the rest of us, its another overpriced dime-a-dozen coffee shops. At least its not Starbucks!!
