I totally do not understand all the negative reviews here. I just finished with my home warranty a/c service from Ice Cube Air and I encountered nothing but polite and helpful people.
My air went out on Sunday. It's now Tuesday and everything is back up and working properly.
After calling on Sunday, Ice Cube sent Stan on Monday who quickly isolated the problem of a shorted transformer. He didn't have the specific part he needed so he arranged to come back on Tuesday.
Unfortunately after installing the new transformer he also discovered some damaged wiring which caused the short in the first place. It looked like I'd have to wait until Thursday in order for Ice Cube to obtain permission from the home warranty company to do a re-wiring.
Stan was visibly upset at thinking of me being without air for another two days. I wasn't too worried - I just planned on going over to Home Depot, buying a portable air conditioner, and rolling with the punches.
About 3 minutes after leaving (at 6:30 p.m., by the way), Stan rang the doorbell and and asked for 10 more minutes. He was smiling.
Shortly thereafter he climbed down out of the attic. He'd had a brainstorm and it worked - the wire bundle had two unused wires. He connected those and voila!
I'm currently basking in icy cool air and wondering how to nominate Stan for sainthood.
Stan's boss: if you read this give the man a raise!
