| - When this place first opened in summer 2012, we were ecstatic. A great little bar with a fantastic beer selection, patio seating, and a collection of board games that you could play on a sunny Friday afternoon. They had food available, but also allowed you to bring your own, so getting takeout from Dewey's and sitting outside on Friday afternoons to play some Trivial Pursuit became a norm.
Sadly, the place went downhill from there. The fact that the bar was "child friendly" eventually devolved into "child-packed". Kid's birthday parties became a regular thing to encounter (yes, at a bar). They opened their own kitchen, the food was OK. But the biggest downside was that they stopped having other microbrews on tap, and started serving exclusively Bottlehouse beers. I know that their whole schtick was supposed to be this whole "brew your own beer" thing, but what attracted us and made us regulars was the great and constantly rotating set of taps with microbrews that were hard to find elsewhere. The beer they brew in house is mediocre at best. Eventually, we just stopped going altogether.
Shame, this was a good thing for a while.
