| - I know, The Mirage is an aged Hotel for the new glitter of the Las Vegas Strip. It was one of the first Lux Hotels aside from the MGM Grand and before Treasure Island. It had style. And refreshing next to aging mildewing Caesar's Palace. But you know what, I got the BEST personalized service.
I stay all over the strip, and have stayed in almost every major Hotel. The all have their niches, but few have actual Customer Service. At least, the Customer Service I like. What I mean is, people who are willing to actually have a conversation, or know how to have a conversation. People who can work, tell a mild casual joke to break the ice, and expedite my needs with ease. People who can actually explain things so there are no surprises, or so I don't have to ask. Yes, the old Mirage, that's getting an interior face lift, did just that. And it started with the Bell Man, and ended with the Bell Man.
What I don't like, small rooms. Or, rooms less than 400 sq ft. However, their new room rates reflect this so I'm ok with staying their again.
The Pool, OK. Well monitored. The drunks are kept under control, so families, be not worried. Unlike CP. The room, clean, decent, updated. But, I hate the lack of ventilation. So if you have bad gas, go to the lobby bathroom, unless you want to stink up the whole room for hours.
All in all, I'd stay their again. It's worth the $$, go see "Love." enjoy your stay. The staff is great.
