From Hello Kitty cakes, Bahn Mi Sandwiches, Japanese cheesecake and Chinese buns and tarts in the bakery, to less than stellar dim sum and BBQ meats and take out food at the hot counter, to the meat and seafood counters to the sushi counter, T&T has it all.
The one thing you must be careful of is prices at the checkout. One time I was charged double the price for Asparagus and when I went to customer service to complain they said the price in the produce section was wrong. So I told them I wanted to return it. Another time I bought pork neck bones from the meat counter which are 79 cents a pound and the sticker on the bag was for chicken breasts for $5 a pound!
The middle aisles have a mix of different Asian foods, not just Chinese... From Thai noodles and Tamarind Paste, to Japanese snacks and sushi rice, to Korean noodles and much more. What I find most out of place is the Loblaws products and other groceries like Ketchup or canned corn. I wonder if anyone buys stuff like that there?
The parking lot and store are a zoo on weekends, and virtually empty on a weekday, so plan your trip accordingly.
