  • I needed to have a medical procedure done and my doctors office recommended Warner Park Surgery Center. I made a mistake by not looking at reviews. I do not recommend this place! I have had problems with this center prior, during and after my visit. When I called after I had my procedure to talk to the manager she informed me it was her last day being employed there. Interesting she was quitting, but I felt like I knew why! So I wanted to warn patients before going through what I did. The office called to verify information and pre-register me. I was told that I would get a call back that day with the amount I owed, my responsibility, so I could be prepared to pay the day of the procedure. Never received a call back, but when I checking in for my procedure I was told if I didn't pay I couldn't have the procedure done. The nurse had a hard time deciding if my IV she started was dripping into my vein. After consulting with a co-worker they decided it was fine. I get to the OR and the IV is not working!! After 4 more sticks and 15 minutes trying to start an IV in the OR a new IV was in. I can't count how many times I was shown the catheter, that they were using to obtain my IV, each one had bent in at least two places. I have worked in the medical field for years and have never seen this problem before. My take on this problem was poorly manufactured catheters. They even spoke about how they are switching brands. Too late for me who was stuck 5 times to start one. After spending all this time in the OR to start an IV I felt like everything began to be rushed to make up for lost time! I felt like no one paid attention to my cares and concerns. I had told the Nurse Practioner I was in pain and instead of waiting until the sedative was given she continued to proceed with no regard to my plea. Also, there were two men in the corner of the room that no one introduced to me, I had to ask who they were. My backside was facing them and the NP couldn't wait for the sedative to work and proceeded to take the blanket off my backside and expose me to these men standing in the corner. All these issues to make up for time lost restarting my IV in the OR. The recovery room nurse was cold and short tempered. I was in a lot of pain coming out of the sedation and she was not compassionate toward my outcry. Now, I just got off the phone trying to obtain a billing statement for my medical flex spending account. The person on the phone became irritated with my request to make sure the necessary codes were on the bill. She put me on hold several times to get the needed information and in the end the information She gave me was wrong! Save yourself much grief and go someplace else, the hospital would be a good alternative if that is a choice.
