  • We sat through a FULL HALF HOUR of previews for "True Grit." I'm fairly certain they tacked every trailer they were set to screen before other movies on this one because we were getting ads for horror, action, chick flicks, and animated kids movies. I actually forgot what movie I was there to see. The cost to get in wasn't so terrible ($10 non-matinee) since it's getting pretty pricey to see a movie these days, but the concessions were among the most expensive I have ever seen. While, on the bright side, they offer lots of variety when it comes to snacking choices, they have these impulse aisles where you take the items off the shelf yourself and bring it to be rung up. But again, it's way more expensive than is fair even for a movie theater. My boyfriend bought a box of Whoppers (over $3). His mother ordered one of their designer coffees (a $5 chai latte), which she waited more than 10 minutes for (I guess she was lucky there were so many previews). She ended up throwing most of her drink away saying it was the worst latte she'd ever had. Otherwise, the theater was fairly clean, the staff was agreeable, the seats were comfortable, BUT the film was a bit out of focus and my boyfriend remarked that it sounded like one of the speakers was going out.
