| - Using Jiffy Auto Glass USA has been one of the worst experiences I couldnt have imagined.
The first glass company I contacted didn't have a vent window available for a few days so I knew that wouldn't work. I did some research and found Jiffy Auto Glass USA. I submitted a form online and received a call back. Upon speaking with them, they said they needed a day to order the window and one of my concerns was that my original window was factory tinted but I was assured by Liz, one of their agents, that that would be no problem matching it when they come out to install.
On october 13th, I already had a feeling that I was thrown onto an already full schedule because a tech named Luke called me and immediatly seemed aggrivated. I'm at work but I moved things in my schedule so he could come and do the work. I was just grateful that he was coming so I wouldnt have another sleepless night worrying about my car. So the tech arrives, takes a look at my window and everything went downhill from that moment.
While hes looking at my window he asks for my keys, gets in the front seat and rolls down my windows. He gets out and while hes dusting the broken glass right in the parking lot, he starts telling me he needs to get this done quickly because he has other clients. Thats when he pulls out the peice of vent glass and I stop him because it is completly see through and not tinted like i was told it would be. When I bring that up to him, he nonchalantly tells me that I can go have it tented "for 30 bucks". I'm trying to tell him that it doesn't make sense for me to do that, especially since my insurance pays for this and I've been paying my insurance for years, have never used it and I'm not paying anything out of pocket for something I've technically been paying for as long as I've had my car. So he's aggrivated, he literally scratches his butt with my peice of window and asks me "what do you want to do then because I cant wait all day?". Now I'm frusterated because his demeanor is so aggressive and rude that I can't believe this is happening. I call the office and I'm speaking to Liz trying to figure out what to do from here and her solution is to have the window installed and they will reccomend me to a window tinter and they will pay the cost. So I agree and I have her send me an email just to make sure I have this in writing. At that point I walk back to Luke and let him know. He then hands me my keys and tells me to park in a shaded area because its too hot to work in the sunny spot I'm currently in. So I move my car to the side of my office building and give him the keys again to perform the work.
About 40 mins later he sends me a text saying he's done. So I come out, and the glass looks fine and while he's still here I go to lock my car and my locks and buttons arent working in the back where he performed the work. So once again he gets aggrivated because he has to take the door apart so see where he messed up. Once he's done, I check everything again and it seems fine. He then hands me a paper with the number to the tinting company and leaves. So I had to clean up all the glass in the parking lot and get back to work.
So moving forward, I've emailed liz about a 50.00 check I was supposed to receive but still havent. And lastly, given the heat, I haven't had any need to roll down my passanger side window but when I did try, I realize that the tech broke the button and literally set it right back to make it seem like nothing was wrong.
I tried calling liz for 2 weeks and never got a call back. At this point I thought it would be smart to get my attempts in writing. So between calling, I emailed Liz 11/2, 11/6, and on 11/8 she sent Luke back out to look at the broken window button. When he comes out, he is immediatly confrontational, looks at the button at tells me word for word "your cars getting old so I cant be resposible for that. I can look up some quotes for you but I'm not responsible for this". Whats worse is I'm literally on the brink of tears because now I have to defend myself, he's rude and aggressive and hes treating me even worse than he did when he was doing the initial job for me. So after he leaves, I send an email to liz detailing my experience once again and like all the other times, I hear nothing back.
From this point, Ive emailed her more times than i can explain. So now I'm stuck waiting for a resolution after such a horrendous, unprofessional experience. I honestly can't tell you what was worse, having my car vandalized at gunpoint or having to deal with this company. It's now been 45 days since the job was "done" and all I just want is my window button fixed and working like it was before Luke came out and I want the 50.00 check I was promised for using this sorry company in the first place.
