| - The best macarons in Toronto!
I've always thought macarons were overrated, like fancy looking blobs of colored sugar and cream. I've tried many macaron places across town. The different flavors all tasted the same (sugar) at some shops, with an overkill of food coloring.
In comes La bamboche. Their selection of flavors seemed very unique (yuzu, sesame, strawberry champagne, pistachio, lavender, etc) so i decided to give it a try.
The macarons actually tasted like what it claims and not just overpriced sugar with food coloring! Very refined, aromatic, taste with just the right amount of sweetness. I notice their macarons had more cream filling than other shops. The sesame and pistachio was so rich with flavor. I will definitely go back to try more of their flavors.
The chef had trained in Japan and it really shines through. In Japan, beautiful and delicious sweets are said to be edible gems, and that's exactly what the macarons here are.
Ever since, I've been trying every shop that sells macarons around toronto but La Bamboche wins my heart (and tongue). I didn't like macarons in general, but La Bamboche made me a believer.
