The guys were real nice. Daniel was in charge. Before they started it was explained that any damaged items would be weighed and they would pay .60cent per lb. They ripped a hole in the side my new leather sofa along with gouging and shredding the corner leather. My beautiful new $500 mirror has a quarter size chunk of wood out of the bottom right where you can see it. They gouged my walls going up stairs. Also, my stair railing paint is all scratched. There is a hole going up the side of the stair-step side area. My office desk trim was torn off. Here's the crazy thing we gave the guy $500 + for the move plus $100 tip and bought pizza and soda for lunch. I thought they would make good of our damage. We took pictures and I was promised that a call to the office on Monday would handle it. When I called at around 9am a man answered sounding very irritated and said "HELLO"! I asked if I reached the moving company and he said yes. He stated his name was Al. He said email him the pictures and he would call me back. The next day I called again. He said "We want to offer you $50." I told him NO they need to stand behind their work and send someone out to weigh the furniture for the .60cent lb policy. He stated Daniel would be the one to come out. I then called the next day and he said, Do you want the good news or bad news first? I told him I want a solution and my damage taken care of. He stated they are out of business and want to give me $50. I told him this is unacceptable even if he went out of business. I also spoke with Daniel and he pretty much said the same. One of the movers that day did say they keep changing business names due to the complaints. I told Al I would have no other choice but to take action. They do not care one bit about this otherwise they would have stepped up to solve it professionally. Al did tell me to keep calling back but I am not playing games.
