Brains Sells in Chandler at All Mobile Matters. The only thing I can agree with in the review below is these guys are "KIND"! As far as I am concerned they go above and beyond the typical large box houses and chain cell phone stores. They can also go beyond Manufacturers support. Eric is extremely knowledgeable and patient in working through complex problems. I have no idea why nobody could come up with the most obvious answer....Try doing a "MASTER RESET" on the phone. I give Eric Two Thumbs up!!!
The Whole Story:
I purchased an unlocked AT&T Galaxy S4 on line from Craigslist. The phone was in excellent condition, had a clean imei, was all paid for and was free and clear. I popped in my simcard, had instant 4G, LTE and away I went after paying the man for the phone.
When I got home I wanted to start transferring files from my old phone to my new phone via USB and update my software from Jellybean 4.2 to 4.3 and possibly enable the AWS/ HSPA+ Function. My old Blaze showed me that USB was connected and let me lift the files out of its phone memory and transfer them to my computer but when I connected my new S4 there was no indication that the phone had been connected to the computer. It showed the drivers were active and it showed up in the device menu but there was no communication to access files between the computer and the phone. I called Samsung Tech support, they could not help me and they instructed me to go to a Best Buy and talk with someone in the "Samsung Experience" area. Those 1.5 hours proved to be fruitless. They told me since I was running a T-Mobile Sim on an AT&T unlocked phone they could not help me. SO, I went to a T-Mobile store and asked about the USB port and how to update my 4.2 to 4.3 and a few other questions. They could not help me either but they gave me a card for "All Mobile Matters" They said at T-Mobile they technically are not savvy enough to deal with high level software issues like problems that arise from unlocked phones being used on their network or how to fix problems when a phone will not communicate via USB with a computer. I found myself to be in a "NO MANS LAND" An AT&T phone running on the T-Mobile network. You are stuck in the middle because neither company can push you software / firmware updates so you have to get them yourself. Mind you I can transfer files into folders from one phone to another via Bluetooth and can use Kies via WiFi on the new Galaxy S4. I just don't understand why my USB is disabled to exchange files. I think USB is needed to do firmware upgrades. I have read in the specifications on the Samsung Site and I can see that at least T-Mobile and AT&T phones are the most frequency compatible and interchangeable between providers. I have read that T-Mobile utilizes an additional frequency "AWS & HSPA"

that AT&T phones have Locked Out. I have also read that this feature can be turned on to use the AT&T phone to its fullest potential on T-Mobile but T-Mobile does not know how to support those consumers who decide to unlock their phones and make the move over to T-Mobile. By limiting the full LTE HSPA+ experience of speed in some major cities in the USA I think people are missing out on a GREAT benefit of the T-Mobile network. I really don't understand why T-Mobile can't write a script that will do this

and be able to support their customers in their corporate locations.
I went to All Mobile Matters in the Chandler Mall and Eric was able to do what the others could not do. He was able to get my USB port to transfer files as opposed to just charging my phone!!! Why couldn't the Big Two solve that problem? I guess when you are small; you try harder to please the customer. Applause, Applause. Evidently the guy who hired Eric made the right decision and hired a pro!!! I recommend these guys 100% and they are reasonable!!!
On a side note: Look how much work is involved in replacing that screen on the Nexus. I looked it up after I read the woman's review.

I think she got the work done at a bargain price.
