During a vacation, we had to take my husband to a hospital for what turned out to be a necrotic gallbladder. He needed emergency surgery, which we did get from the Chief of Staff after I googled the first doc they said was going to perform the surgery and I saw his incredibly low scores as a doc. The staff primarily was helpful and kind...the ER was traumatic as there are quite a few homeless or strung out patients laying around moaning on cots. My biggest problem with the place aside from the crazy communication among staff, is the cleanliness. This place is dirty. Really dirty. I had to scrub down the room my husband was in...it was gross. Seems that in a hospital, cleanliness should be more if a priority. I realize the hospital is older, but you can still clean old things. If you can, go to another facility.
