  • I was in need of an oil change, and being new to the area, Yelp came to the rescue! Well, Yelp and Groupon -I figured since there are so many garages in my immediate area, I'd try and find the best deal. And if it was a horrible experience, at least it was a money saver. Who knew the best deal AND the best shop were going to be in the same spot. Like any hidden Gem, Community Tire Pros & Auto Repair is down a dusty road and pops up out of nowhere. Surrounded by worn down buildings and freeway dust, I wasn't sure what I was getting into. But upon entering the office...well, simply put, it's the nicest shop I've ever been in. From the demeanor of the front desk (Anthony was great, super friendly, and easy to communicate with), to the pleasantly decorated and somewhat home-feeling waiting room, to the restrooms (which are BY FAR the nicest restrooms in any auto repair shop anywhere), I was pleasantly shocked (yeah, not even surprised- straight up shock). Obviously an oil change is not a great litmus test to determine the mettle of a shop. But with absolutely no upselling, a straightforward bill, a free oil change on your birthday (who does that? so awesome!) and friendly service, this place gets holds A+ in my book. And to top it off, they also have a community garden across the street that they are sponsoring (it was in development when I was there, but I walked around the fence to check it out- very cool).
