| - I love Planned Parenthood. I think this is a great organization that does great work.
I called this location 3 times, waiting on the phone each time for almost 20 minutes and never talked to anyone, so I left my phone number each time. I never got a call back, any of the times.
So, because my boyfriend needs a cancer screening/testing asap we came in person to get information/set up an appointment. The girl who helped us right off the bat was unfriendly.
She seemed bothered by the fact we didn't schedule an appointment, but I had tried threw the phone 3 times. So she gave him a post it note to write down why he was there. He wrote down a checkup, and full physical exam. The woman who helped us, behind the counter says loudly "I don't even know why he came here.....he doesn't have insurance......exam? What does that mean, what does he want"
That's so rude, we heard everything, and her tone was judgemental. At one point we heard another receptionist behind the counter very quietly ask information on the woman who was also waiting. She was trying to be quiet and that is what you should be when discussing a patient, the receptionist who helped us says loudly "she needs a pregnancy test." You could see the woman who was waiting was very embarrassed.
They call my boyfriend up and tell him the fees/info for exams, and he let's them know he doesn't have insurance, or money right now. They reply "you can go to urgent care". No offer for a payment plan, or what his monthly income is so they can figure out costs. They never looked at the paper he filled out. He was still holding it when they were talking.
We left right after that because they didn't offer to set up a future appointment, and felt like we didn't get any of the information we wanted.
