  • The place has an abundance of personality. There are things like the Big Kahuna challenge, drawing for Diamondback tickets, and Hawaiian decorations throughout. We met the owner who was very energetic, enthusiastic, and appropriately dressed in a Hawaiian shirt & shorts. A lot of the excitement comes from ordering and simply eating here. You can choose from 5 different dogs, 4 spices, 15 toppings. "Ocean of possibilities!" If that's too overwhelming, you can try the Shaka Dogs with its preselected dog and toppings. The combination of spices and toppings makes for some good tasting dogs. I never had "Maui cole slaw" before, if there is such a thing, but theirs was pretty good. I was expecting your standard mayo with some tropical seasonings. They use yogurt instead which is refreshing light and it compliments the tropical fruits they used really well.
