I've taken LEX probably 5 times since 2009. I'm gonna make this short & simple.
Good things about LEX:
- Way better time frames vs. Greyhound / Amtrak.
- Usually other passengers are college students.
- If it's a bus, there's usually a lot of room on the bus to have your own section of seats.
Bad things about LEX:
- If the situation happens, they will take extra time (~30min) waiting for others @ transit locations which will extend the scheduled trip.
- Who ever the lady is on the phone is always rude. Dare I say, bitchy?
Other notes:
Every time I've rode on LEX, the driver was going like 85-100mph. lmao. I mean if it was me, I wouldn't care. & I also like getting to the location earlier.. but I just think it's kind of unprofessional.
OVERALL, I'd say :
AMTRAK: 6/10 , LEX 4/10, GREYHOUND 2.5/10.
If it's at all possible, just drive or have someone else drive you in Illinois.
