  • Just saw GNR on New Year's Eve at the Joint. I liked the venue, perfect size (holds 4000 at max), absolutely great sound system. Make that a phenomenal sound system. Entry was organized and easy. Drink prices are ridiculous but they always are at concerts so that is nothing new. My main (and only) complaint is that the Joint allows smoking. Is that not a fire hazard? We were surrounded by smokers so our clothes stink and it was hard to breathe at times. I cannot believe that in the 21 century there are still venues that allow smoking. I guess the management never heard of the dangers and annoyance of second hand smoke. Anyway, it's a great venue and I would love to see more concerts there. Next time I will bring a ventilator.
