This hotel should be avoided because of their terrible business practices. I purchased a Groupon for the ENVY the Steakhouse restaurant in the hotel and followed all of the rules of the Groupon, including calling weeks in advance and making a reservation and mentioning my Groupon. When I showed up with my date on the evening of my reservation, the restaurant manager and the hotel manager both refused to honor my Groupon, and stated that they just weren't honoring Groupons anymore. This was on January 7, 2017 and my Groupon had an expiration date of April 12, 2017. They acknowledged that I had made a reservation and that they had it in their system, and that I had mentioned my Groupon when I made the reservation. They first said that they would not honor the Groupon because there was a convention in Las Vegas that weekend, and they don't honor Groupons when there is a convention in town. I pointed out that the date was not excluded anywhere in the fine print on the Groupon. Then they said they just were not honoring Groupons at all anymore. When I politely pointed out that they had no right to refuse to honor my Groupon, and that they had taken my money when I bought the Groupon and owed me the "5-Course Gourmet Tasting Dinner for 2 People" that I had purchased, they flatly refused to honor it and they actually called security and made my date and me leave the hotel. They did not provide me with a refund of the money I had paid for the meal. I can't imagine a worse experience, and I will never go to this restaurant or to any Renaissance Hotel ever again. They rip off their customers and take their money selling a voucher and then refuse to honor it. The worst kind of business.
