Don't let the folksy name fool you: this "Humbercrest Market" Loblaws is just as monstrous as most of its corporate kin, and boasts the same sweeping selection at more up-market prices. The parking lot is a bit tricky to get in and out of (small and narrow entrance), but the underground section isn't too dreary, decorated as it is with murals.
This Loblaws has been going through a bit of an inventory restructuring of late, since the chain didn't have success in taking on Wal-Mart in the everything-under-one-roof game. Many of the non-grocery items have been scaled back, which meant there were some good deals to be had on frivolous knickknacks like electric panini makers a few weeks ago. How the change in focus will play out is still up in the air, I think.
