This is for the restaurant in the lobby. Palettes. If this doesn't below under this review for the hotel I'll be happy to delete it. (Couldn't find it anywhere else on yelp) the food was not good. Ordered a bacon hamburger. I had a few bites and it was burnt, dry, chewy and the lettuce wrap was soggy. It also took over 20 minutes. Side note, waitress was great, beyond super nice! After taking several bites I spit it out. (Back in the room at this point) I went back down and showed it to them. The friendly waitress was very apologetic. She got a manager to override a food swap. He came over saying "I heard you had concerns with the hamburger. I talked to the chef about the meat and everything and we decided it's just personnel preference" I was surprised... I said it was burnt, chewy and left a burnt taste In your mouth. He continued with "okay. Well personnel preference..do you want something else?" He seemed more like he wanted to defend his chief. I asked for wings... Not gluten free asked for corn quesadilla not gluten free... Asked for a salad. I was told no cheese. I asked why. His response it is cheddar shredded. I explained that has dairy not gluten. So they wrung it up. And I got the salad to give to my gf (the one who ordered the food originally and also spit out the burger). It had dead lettuce mixed in it. And she said it just seemed they didn't care much about our opinion.
I debated about bumping it up a star just cause the waitress was great. And apologized again when I walked away.
The part that gets me. Is if you are going to agree to switch food. Then why bring up its personnel preference and argue with me.
And the market salad was 8 dollars. The burger I paid for was 14. Wasn't refunded 6 bucks or even brought up by the manager. Just avoid this place. This is the place for room service also.
Again this is for the food place. Not necessarily the whole hotel. I enjoyed the hotels and amenities. But the food and manager really rubbed me wrong. All other staff has been great.
