| - Thanks Mary M for reminding me to review Snip-its.
For our daughter's first haircut, we wanted to do something special. Of course that had to include a picture, lock of hair, and certificate...totally unnecessary but that's what we had in mind. I called in advance and was told there were no appointments for first haircuts. So we went ...
And waited for an hour. UGH! There were some things to look at/watch, but mostly we were chasing L around making sure she wasn't bothering other kids. And the place is tiny. We spent a lot of time walking around outside.
When we were called, we were placed with a very nice and friendly stylist. That's the one positive of this experience. Even though L didn't really want to sit still, she worked around that, and gave her a pretty cute haircut (though honestly, it took 5 minutes and she didn't really cut much other than the bangs).
It cost us $25 for this. The picture was cute, it came in a paper frame that is bound to get destroyed. The lock of hair I could have done myself but whatever. And they were "out of certificates," and we were supposed to get one mailed to us and never did. Not that I want an extra piece of paper lying around my already cluttered apartment!
The next time she needed a trim, I did it myself and it looked exactly the same. I have learned my lesson and won't go through this again!
