  • Who knew I would love Wayne Newton so much?!?! I guess I wasn't sure what to expect. He is after all, Mr. Las Vegas! I went in expected old Las Vegas hits in a gawdy kind of way. Mr. Newton offered the opposite. He was thoughtful and charming, and greeted us warmly as we were upgraded to the first row. He smiled, winked and made eye contact with us many times during the show. There was music and story telling. He reminisced about the good old days. His personal stories were touching and lent the personal side to a Las Vegas icon. He even thanked an employee in the audience with sincere appreciation. After the show he stopped by to say goodbye. I couldn't help myself - I had to tell him he smelled so good. Not a loud over the top cologne, but something subtle and elegant. Mr. Wayne Newton is a real gentleman and I am so glad I was able to see his show!
