| - I asked the guard upon entering the convention center where the Earth Day breakfast and sustainability symposium was. He said 3rd floor, and walk that way (pointing to opposite direction of way I was walking). I asked for specifics. He said not to worry, I 'll see it. I didn't. Following directions led me to a totally vacant 3rd floor. I poked around, calling "Hello" , hoping to see an employee. No one. Called the receptionist, then sales, both of which went to voice mail. Third time, got HR director, Nancy, who put me on hold while she went to find the breakfast's location . She even offered to come down and show me where to go, but 2 employees wandered by, and gave me directions, opposite end of the building the guard told me to go to.
The breakfast was assorted fresh fruit , cut into chunks, assorted danish, jams, croissants, nut breads, and organic, vegan, individual, plain greek yogurt (I spooned some of my fresh blueberries and strawberries into it). There was delicious coffee, and an assortment of teas, 2-3 kinds of juice (I love an open bar).
The fruit, fresh and delicious, was cut into chunks way too big to be eaten politely. The yogurt was also good, but better after adding berries. The nut bread looked moist and delicious, but the mini danish were a bit "tough". I was not impressed, especially with having to leave a v.m. fpr the receptionist.
I would hesitate to hold my event here.
