| - A few years ago, I bout a 2012 CPO GTI from these guys. It was a great car, got a good deal on it and was pretty much happy with it. Along comes VW's marketing Gestapo with a suspicious letter addressed to me. They tell me that according to their records (and possibly spy cameras) I should have some equity in my car.
What trickery is this? I wonder, as I find myself heading east on the 202 towards the Val Vista exit. I pull up to the front door and put on my best donteffwithme look when I notice this dude who looks vaguely familiar. My guard temporarily down, he takes the opportunity to exploit the chink in my armor. "How do I know you?" he asks. It doesn't take long to figure out that we both used to work for the same employer.
I tell him about the letter from the secret police and say to him: "Look, if you can keep my payments under $xxx/month with no money down, we have a deal." After an hour or two of test drives, 6 bottles of water and a jousting match with his desk manager, I drove away in my brand new 2017 GTI SE.
The car I love, the process... not so much. But who the eff does? It's a necessary evil, kind of like dentists... no one likes the dentist but we all love it when our tooth stops hurting.
Raman was a great facilitator of the transaction... sort of like novocaine, only better. If it weren't for him, I would probably still be screaming in agony on the showroom floor. As a matter of fact, he was so good, a month later, I bought another brand new VW from him. This time a Golf Alltrack for my wife.
He has been great to work with and kept to all of the promises he made to us with honesty and integrity. Ask for him when you go to pick out your new riiiiiidddddeee.
