  • This was my first time here, but definitely not my last!!!! Went there on a Sunday - so prime-time for brunch crowd. The wait for a table of two was not long. I don't even think it was 20mins. Atmosphere: Very eclectic decor and fast pace. Lots of people talking, staff moving around. Quirky art-work on the walls. I like! Food. Went there with a friend and we couldn't decide what to get for the longest time. Well, while waiting to be seated I had my mind set on something, which I totally didn't order. I had the Biscuits, Eggs and Gravy. Oh boy! My friend raved about their homemade chicken sausage, but I was craving savory gravy at first didn't realize it had bits of chicken sausage in it until it came out....yes it does state on the menu *facepalm*. Total win, when my plate arrived! Those biscuits are worth all the hype! I was thinking of perhaps ordering a side to bring home, but nooo, got to lay low on the carbs! Maybe i'll bring some home now for thanksgiving :) I'm new to the world of "Grits", I liked their grits, wouldn't know what "bad" ones would taste like though. I ordered water and coffee. The staff were attentive and refilled before I even noticed it was getting low. Plus points! Our waiter was super friendly and told us not to forget their homemade butter! Delish! My friend ordered the Egg-stravaganza. My original pick was to try their french toast, but yah! didn't order, so my friend was nice enough to have me taste hers. The french toast topped with homemade raspberry sauce and honey crème anglaise was good. They used whole-wheat toast. As a spoiled new yorker who loves diners, I was hoping for thick challah bread for the french-toast, but the whole wheat made this tasty dish sound healthy...even just a little. Loved our whole brunch experience and will definitely come back! only star deduction because parking sucks a little - acknowledging it was brunch rush-hour, still...come early - park safer, none of those crazies that zoom through the lot.
