  • I recently took my cat (who is pretty much my furry child) into to see Dr. Goldman. I was looking for a holistic vet in town, since having moved from So Cal where he had a great vet that we loved, who not only saved my cats life but educated me on alternative treatments. Since my cats got some tough issues, where other vets want to just do expensive surgeries, drugs,ect. My last vet discovered he simply has a bad back and was treating him with acupuncture, and other orthopedic treatments, which completely worked. I'm a believer and its less costly than conventional medicine. So I found Dr. Goldman @ Island Pet Hospital, my kitty hadn't had his regular treatments and wasn't feeling too good. Island Pet got us an appt asap, friendly staff, very clean office. Dr. Goldman was friendly and very informative. He did some orthopedic treatments on my cat, and let us know all of our options and even worked out a long term plan to actually get him better not just treat the symptoms. He's an enthusiastic and very knowledgeable Dr. who didn't try to rush us out or just add to the bill. Which has happened to us in the past, where you feel like OK they didn't do much and you check out with a huge vet bill. Everything was very clear and up front. Also he does do alternative treatments but he is a conventional Dr. also and knows the difference of when you have to go that direction. Definitely a good vibe there and my cat got much better the next day. I'll be back for sure.
