  • We've been patients of Dr.Gentiles since 2002. We loved this office until recently. One of our 3 children is special needs and as a result it is imperative that constant communication is a must. We noticed that we never received a call to confirm appts, never received billing statements, and we're constantly put on hold for unreasonable time periods extending as long as 15 min in length. The original office manager was wonderful and at this office over 20 years before she retired 4 years ago. Since then the whole service quality has suffered. I've been told that they don't have time to call patients to confirm appt. They don't have time to follow up with insurance companies to get payment when they have submitted incorrect information and I've been billed as a result when I have no control over how the office billed for a visit. I have asked numerous times to get referrals for specialists and scheduled visits to get the referral requested and it's a nasty call and weeks waiting period to get a doctor referral. But they make you wait an extra 25 min when you arrive for your appt to confirm your insurance is active, interesting. Dr. Gentile seems overwhelmed and unavailable most of the time so we were constantly scheduled with a PA. When we finally saw him we were negatively questioned as to why we hadn't been in to see him. In addition we were addressed in the open lobby as to why the insurance hadn't paid on claims, to which we had no knowledge of an issue, and told we better figure it out because they had no time to call them. While the office manager continued to bagger us In front of other patients, in the lobby. While at their office, I contacted the insurance company and confirmed that they had incorrectly submitted the bill. The Ins. Co agreed to resubmit correctly and to repay the doctor in the next 30 days. That took me 5min. When I asked the office manager to let me know if they didn't receive the payment from the insurance company, her response to me was, "I don't have time to do that, we see too many patients." I would highly recommend you find another doctor and practice for your pediatric needs. This office has a breeding ground for a disaster. 13+ years of loyalty and this is how you will be treated, just another number on their list. So sad!
