We went to this restaurant based on the reviews on yelp with a Groupon. I had high expectations, but I was disappointed and here is why:
- The service was VERY slow (this is not the reason for my one star because understandably it was a Groupon night and it was quite busy)
- The food was tasteless when we asked for spicy. One of the appetizers we ordered was Paneer Tikka and it was extremely bland - not marinated at all, hard, dry and did not taste like Paneer Tikka. We ordered two curries for our main course and had same problem again, it didn't taste like the items we ordered.
- Worst of all - a roach crawled below our table and one of the guys from the table adjacent to us decided to squish it right there. It sat there the entire time we were there - eating our meal - a couple of steps away. The restaurant didn't bother to clean it even after the table emptied out.
I don't think I will be going back here. May be I have high/different expectations due to the fact that I have enjoyed some really awesome Indian food in the east coast and also because I am Indian. May be the restaurant targets non-Indian crowd with a bit milder/suddle taste - even then, if the food is absolutely bland, when you ask for spicy, it is NOT Indian food.
Hope this was helpful and if you do end up going here, I hope you have a better experience!
